Eccentric Egyptologist Professor Morlant believes that if he is buried with a jewel called ‘The Eternal Light’ in a faux Egyptian tomb which he has constructed at his Country Estate, he will be granted immortal life. The idea is that after this ceremony the great god Anubis will manifest before him, accept his offering and grant him his wish. However, as Morlant appears to die his servant steals the jewel before the offering is complete. The heirs arrive at the reading of the will and Morlant rises from his tomb, rather annoyed to find that his jewel is gone so sets about finding it and punishing the thieves. The jewel is sent from servant to lawyer, to niece and eventually finds it way back to Morlant. It turns out Morlant hadn’t actually died but had suffered from a seizure, how will he make the thieves pay and will he finally be granted ever lasting life?
